Our People Like Me campaign is branching out into new sectors – showing girls more opportunities open to them if they choose a STEM qualification. People Like Me resource packs featuring case studies from Tech, Electronics and Physics are now available on the website to download. We have trained outreach teams from the BBC, Intel, Interserve, Newcastle University, Salesforce, STEMNET, techUK, UKESF and the University of Nottingham to use this resource. 600 STEMNET ambassadors have already been trained and a further 600 will be trained this term. If you are interested in creating a bespoke pack for your organisation or would like to be trained to deliver the resource, please contact WISE.
Further changes in the WISE team next month. We say goodbye to Lynne Palmer, who returns to the MOD after 2 years on secondment to WISE as Partnerships Director. She will stay in touch with the campaign through the WISE Bristol hub. We are recruiting two roles to support events and marketing and look forward to welcoming Mhairi Crawford, who will join the team as Development Director next month. We have boosted the membership team to support our growing corporate and individual membership. Led jointly by Suzy Firkin and Penny Bradley, the membership team is supported by Barbara Dischinger and Ruth Frost.
